BEIJING —  A group of American Christians who had more than 300 Bibles confiscated by Chinese officials when they arrived in China is refusing to leave the airport until they get the books back, their leader said Monday.

JERUSALEM —  Israel is building up its strike capabilities amid growing anxiety over Iran’s nuclear ambitions and appears confident that a military attack would cripple Tehran’s atomic program, even if it can’t destroy it.

I have had a few people tell me to stop worrying about things like a war with Iran, or Russia, or the coming complete food shortage, or the germ warfare that is about to take place on our soil, or any number of things that are happening. But I just can’t. I am a true follower of Jesus Christ, and our guidebook for life, the Holy Bible, tells us to keep watching these things. I can’t stop because God presses my heart to not only watch and wait, but to warn all those around me. I know this is a website dedicted to writings about the Holy Word of God, but I can’t help but post things that spell out truth in other related areas. I need to present it if it will have an impact on the world. I show it, you decide.

This November, we will be voting on a new man to run our Nation. In my honest opinion, neither of them will do the job needed to be done, yet one of them will win. McCain seems to be flighty to me, never really discussing in detail the issues that our country faces. And Obama, well, he has way too much in hiding. And everyone seems to absolutely love him, some going so far as to call him the “new messiah”. I lowercased those letters because he is far from being anything close to the Messiah. People ask me all of the time, “How do you know we are in the end times? People have thought that for thousands of years, what makes you any different?”

This is what makes me different from those prior peoples. Prophecies. Prophecies were written by the prophets thousands of years ago. Some of the prophecies, say the ones about the coming Savior, were written about Jesus long before He became flesh. When He came into the earth, those prophecies, called Messianic prophecies, came to be fulfilled. Those are all past prophecies, all of which have been fulfilled. Then there are the future prophecies, the ones that could only be fulfilled in the end-times or later days. It is those particular prophecies that makes me know, beyond a shadow of doubt, that I will see the return of the Christ in my life-time. Read the rest of this entry »
